Michael Papile

Michael has been an advisor, investor and lender to hundreds of businesses in almost every sector of the economy in his 30 year professional career.

He has been a trusted financial advisor to entrepreneurs, family business owners, and boards of directors who have relied on his advice for strategic planning, value enhancement, and other strategic options for their business such as mergers, acquisitions, sales, divestitures, management buyouts and recapitalizations.

Investment Philosophy

Michael uses this advice-driven approach in his investing activities and seeks opportunities where his industry experience, transaction experience and relationships will provide value alongside the capital to the companies in which he is investing.

His earliest lessons in business have been the most impactful.  Michael started his professional career as a loan officer to small businesses in the Boston neighborhoods of Allston, Back Bay, Brighton, Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury where he saw how impactful even small amounts of capital could be to a growing company. Although he was instructed by his superiors to rely on the “Four C’s” of Lending (Cash Flow, Collateral, Capital and Credit) in making his loan decisions, he found his greatest success as a lender was when he instead relied on the “Fifth and Sixth C’s” of lending: Character and Competence. This revelation has served him well ever since.

He supports a number of community based organizations such as Italian Home for Children, a residential and day treatment facility for children with emotional and behavioral challenges and the Boston Bulldogs Running Club, a running club established to support the health, wellness and recovery of all those affected by addiction.
